What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite, the same mineral found in bone, suspended in a gel. The gel gives structure on the day. The microspheres then act as a scaffold for your own collagen, which builds over the months that follow. Jowls and lower face, jawline, cheeks, skin laxity, hands and neck. Hyperdilute Radiesse for skin quality is done as a series of two or three sessions, six to eight weeks apart.
Swelling for three to seven days, and bruising at the entry points for up to a week. The area feels firm for two to four weeks as the gel absorbs. The collagen result shows from about twelve weeks and peaks between three and six months. Most people see twelve to eighteen months. Reviews at four weeks and three months.
Tell us if you are pregnant, trying or breastfeeding, or have a history of keloid scarring, an autoimmune condition or a bleeding disorder. Tell us about every filler you have had before. Book dental work at least two weeks either side. No alcohol for 48 hours before. Allow about an hour.
Use a cold compress and sleep on your back the first night. No heat, alcohol or strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Do not touch or massage the area for 48 hours unless we ask you to. No facials, laser or energy treatments over the area for four weeks.
